Racing into fun: F1 23 & Palworld hit Xbox Game Pass

Jan 16, 2024 4:02 PM

Xbox Game Pass welcomes a lineup of exciting new games over the next weeks, growing its diverse catalog. Subscribers can immediately dive into the first-person psychological thriller Those Who Remain, available on console, PC, and cloud. This week also heats up with the release of the racing title F1 23 and the quirky adventure, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank, playable across console, PC, and cloud platforms.

Additionally, Palworld, a unique game where players interact with creatures called Pals, launches this Friday and will be accessible on console, PC, and cloud. In Palworld, players can engage in various activities, from farming to dungeon exploring, with the help of their Pals, which can also be utilized for resources.

The coming days will also see new titles like Go Mecha Ball and Brotato, enriching the Game Pass roster with twin-stick shooter and roguelite arenashooter genres, respectively. Persona 3 Reload and the indie gem Anuchard are set to join later on, offering RPG and adventure fans fresh experiences.

However, as new titles arrive, some must depart. Hitman: World of Assassination will be saying goodbye to the Game Pass library at the end of January. As Microsoft continues to update its Game Pass offerings, subscribers will want to keep an eye on these changes to manage their gaming itineraries effectively.

What is Xbox Game Pass and how does it work?

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service by Microsoft for Xbox consoles, PC, and cloud that provides members with access to a rotating catalog of games from a range of publishers for a monthly subscription fee.

In the context of Xbox Game Pass, Palworld offers a distinctive gaming experience that mixes creature collection with open-world adventure. Players interact with Pals, engaging creatures who can assist in tasks, be used for combat, or even be sold. Palworld's blend of farming, crafting, and dungeon exploration adds strategic depth and moral complexity, echoing elements from games like Pokémon and Stardew Valley but with a unique, edgier twist on the genre.
