Warner Bros. Games has announced the pricing and release date for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 Seasonal Fatality Bundle, which includes themed Fatalities for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Winter. Slated for a November 17th release, the bundle will cost 1,200 Dragon Krystals, roughly equivalent to $9.99, a figure that falls below the anticipated $30 estimate by fans. This move comes after backlash from players regarding Mortal Kombat 1's monetization strategies, especially after selling a single Halloween Fatality for the same amount of Dragon Krystals.

Players who previously purchased the Halloween Fatality will receive the full seasonal bundle at no additional cost, reflecting the studio's attempt to counteract the criticism. The bundle's price, however, remains higher than that of the DLC character Omni-Man, priced at $7.99, who comes with two unique Fatalities.

As a first-time introduction in the Mortal Kombat series, premium Fatalities have sparked debate among fans. Alongside this, Mortal Kombat 1 has faced other issues such as a poorly-received Switch port and lingering bugs. Despite these problems, the game has reached over 3 million sales since its September release. The review for Mortal Kombat 1 praises the new Kameo system and smart changes to fighting mechanics but criticizes some outdated online play aspects and the less engaging Invasions mode.
