The gaming giant Konami has recently launched the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 on Nintendo Switch. However, not all the gamers were satisfied. It appears that the physical cartridge does not contain all the games as initially expected. Only four games are included on the Switch cartridge:

nMetal Gear (MSX)nMetal Gear 2: Solid SnakenMetal Gear (NES)nSnake's Revengen

Consequently, players will have to download Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, and 3 separately. A confirmed minimum download capacity of 32GB is required, and a microSD card is necessary too. Konami's official website further details that to enjoy all available content, a game data download of 25.0 GB plus 12.2 GB for bonus videos is required.

This situation has displeased some Nintendo Switch owners who expected a complete collection on the cartridge. There were many reactions, including criticisms and jokes about the situation on Twitter. Additionally, the Nintendo Switch version is experiencing issues with the download of bonus content videos, which Konami has promised to resolve.

Apart from these issues, other challenges include performance issues with Metal Gear Solid 2, with Konami revealing that it may slow down in specific cutscenes. The company is planning a patch to reduce processing load. Moreover, PC players should be aware that Metal Gear Solid 1 requires a controller.

Konami has acknowledged the problems and is working on resolving them. Although the situation has created some negative reactions among players, many are hopeful that the issues will be fixed soon.
