Bethesda has rolled out the first update for their latest game, Starfield. This hotfix, aimed at enhancing both stability and performance, includes specific improvements for Xbox Series X/S installations. It not only brings down the frequency of crashes but also boosts the game's frame rate.

The update also addresses issues found with several quests including All That Money Can Buy, Into the Unknown, and Shadows in Neon. Bethesda, promising long-term support for Starfield, is welcoming all player feedback and is focusing on eradicating major bugs, addressing stability problems, and incorporating features that the community has asked for.

Future updates are expected on a regular basis with additions like Brightness and Contrast controls, an HDR Calibration Menu, a Field of View Slider, Nvidia DLSS Support on PC, 32:9 Ultrawide Monitor Support for PC gamers, and an eat button for food. Bethesda is closely collaborating with Nvidia, AMD, and Intel for driver support and each update will come with newer stability and performance improvements.

Bethesda is also known to be working on a built-in mod support (Creations) similar to their earlier games, Skyrim and Fallout 4, with full support expected to launch early next year. Although official mod support is yet to provided, players have already been creating various mods for the game.

Starfield, an open-world RPG from Bethesda, is the first new IP in over 25 years and the first game to be released since Microsoft's acquisition of the studio. The game was released just a few days earlier for those who purchased certain editions and was made globally available on September 6 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Game Pass, with a significant uptake from gamers worldwide.
