This action-adventure game is set to be released in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. The trailer showcases protagonist Hazel in the American Deep South, unveiling gameplay elements and lively animation. Hazel, on a quest to find her mother, discovers newfound magical powers called Weaving, which enable her to manipulate the universe's energy. The fantastical world is filled with folktale creatures and a battle against a swamp monster adds a thrilling dynamic. According to a blog post, this gameplay footage is taken from about a third of the story, highlighting the game's depth and complexity.

South of Midnight follows Hazel, who, after losing her mother in a Category 5 hurricane, gains magical weaving powers to rework the universe's energy. She embarks on a journey through the American Deep South, encountering fantastical creatures and battling corruption in an increasingly magical realist world.
