New Final Fantasy 14 Job Viper Revealed

The upcoming MMO expansion for Final Fantasy 14, Dawntrail, introduced a new job called Viper during the Final Fantasy Fan Fest in London. This melee character wields two combinable swords and will be one of two new jobs featured in the expansion; the other as yet unveiled job will be a ranged magic-based role, set to be revealed at the Tokyo Fan Fest on January 7.

Dawntrail marks the beginning of a new narrative in the MMO world, taking place on the new continent, Tural. The expansion will also undergo significant graphic enhancements, raising the minimum PC requirements to Intel Core i7-6700 and Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 480. The release of the Dawntrail expansion is scheduled for summer 2024.

It was also announced that Final Fantasy 14 will be available on Xbox consoles, with a beta test on these platforms running from mid-January to February. Additionally, a cross-over event with Final Fantasy 16 was revealed, featuring a special event called "The Path Infernal" where Clive will join the Warriors of Light and Torgal will be made available as a mount. A PC version and two expansions for FF16 were announced last September, but no further details were provided.n
