Feb 26, 2024 8:40 AM

Warner Bros. Games is set to roll out cross-play functionality for Mortal Kombat 1, bridging players across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S starting February 28. However, Nintendo Switch users won't have access to this feature. For those owning the Kombat Pack 1, they will have early access to the new character Peacemaker on the same date, which is showcased in a gameplay trailer. March will also see the introduction of Cameo Fighter Janet Cage, an alternate reality version of Johnny Cage. Additionally, a free play weekend for Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled from March 7 to 10 on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but participation on consoles requires a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Game Pass subscription.

What platforms will support Mortal Kombat 1 cross-play?

Mortal Kombat 1 cross-play will be available between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, excluding Nintendo Switch.

Over the years, the franchise has evolved with new entries adding characters and features, maintaining its presence in both competitive gaming and among casual players who enjoy the rich storytelling and arcade-style gameplay.
