Meta Quest 3S: Affordable VRMR Headset Launches This October

Meta has unveiled the Meta Quest 3S, a new virtual and mixed reality headset set to launch on October 15, 2024. This headset comes in two versions with storage options priced at $299 for 128 GB and $399 for 256 GB. The Quest 3S retains the powerful Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor and utilizes the Touch Plus controllers featuring advanced inside-out tracking. However, it boasts a slightly lower resolution at 1832 x 1920 per eye and a narrower field-of-view. The announcement was complemented by updates to Meta's Horizon platform and includes a free copy of Batman: Arkham Shadow with every purchase of both the Quest 3 and Quest 3S.

The Meta Quest 3S features the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, Touch Plus controllers, a display resolution of 1832 x 1920 per eye, and a field-of-view of 96 degrees horizontal and 90 degrees vertical, making it an affordable option for virtual and mixed reality experiences.
