Disney is reportedly developing a sequel to the 2006 film "The Devil Wears Prada," focusing on Meryl Streep's character Miranda Priestley as she navigates the decline of traditional magazines. Emily Blunt is expected to return as Emily Charlton, now a top executive at a luxury group, and original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is also set to return. It is yet unclear if Anne Hathaway will reprise her role. The original movie, which grossed over $325 million globally, was based on a novel inspired by US Vogue editor Anna Wintour. The franchise has two book sequels and a musical adaptation set to debut in London.

"The Devil Wears Prada" initially released as a novel in 2003 by Lauren Weisberger, who drew inspiration from her real-life experience working under the infamous Vogue editor Anna Wintour. This sequel sounds like a fresh take on the classic, especially with Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt back in the mix—here's hoping they capture the same magic Anne Hathaway's involvement is still up in the air, but her return could really tie the story together.

I'm stoked about this news Seeing Streep and Blunt back in action will be epic, but I'm really crossing my fingers that Hathaway joins in too—her chemistry with the cast was on point in the original.
