Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 Headed to Game Pass this Year

May 08, 2024 10:15 PM

Game Pass subscribers can look forward to adding two more titles to their collection as Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 are confirmed to join the Game Pass library within the year. The action RPG Lords of the Fallen is a 2023 remake of the original 2014 game but brings a lot more to the table with its v1.5 Master of Fate update, which marked a significant improvement over the original release, including performance, stability, optimization, difficulty balance, and a new Advanced Game Modifier System. On the other hand, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, a tactical shooter released in 2021, offers players an immersive sniping experience with upgraded sandbox design, improved graphics on next-gen consoles, realistic weapons, and strategic gameplay.

When will Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 be available on Game Pass?

While CI Games has confirmed that both games are coming to Game Pass, a specific release date within the year has not yet been announced.

As an additional note on Lords of the Fallen, players may be intrigued to know that this title belongs to the 'Souls-like' subgenre, known for its challenging and strategic combat inspired by the Dark Souls series. The original game developed by Deck13 Interactive and CI Games distinguished itself by presenting a grim fantasy world and offering a combat system that encouraged careful player progression and strategy. With the 2023 update, the developers have made substantial improvements based on player feedback and have heightened the overall experience to be more in line with fan expectations for such 'Souls-like' games.

Meanwhile, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 is part of a series popular for its sniper-focused gameplay. Developed by CI Games, this franchise emphasizes long-range shooting mechanics and strategic planning over run-and-gun tactics. Fans of the series appreciate the realistic ballistics, the satisfaction of executing a perfect long-distance shot, and the tactical planning involved in each mission. With its arrival on Game Pass, more players will have the opportunity to test their sniping skills and strategy.
