"Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" - a new addition to the Yakuza game series - has just had its release date announced by developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. Scheduled for a January 26, 2024 release, the game will be available on platforms such as PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
A freshly released trailer, exceeding 10 minutes, provides further insights into the game's plot. The protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, is featuring prominently, the character set on a quest to locate his mother, Akane, in Hawaii. Returning to the series is the character Kazuma Kiryu, who is now portrayed older and terminally ill. Kiryu decides to spend his remaining time battling the Yakuza alongside Ichiban.
It was also revealed that voice actors Danny Trejo and Danny Dae Kim are contributing to the game. Trejo lends his voice to the leader of a criminal organization in Hawaii, while Kim portrays the captain of a Yakuza clan. A second trailer also showcases some new jobs and mini-games available in the game, among them the opportunity to add a cowboy or samurai to your party. Financially strained character Ichiban possesses the option to work as a bike courier.

The game "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth" was created by Michiel De Coninck, known for his nostalgic reflection on the 'good old days' of gaming when the Sega Dreamcast was still a popular platform and game expansions weren't identified as DLC.
