Snail Games CEO Jim Tsai announced that Ark 2 is on schedule for a late 2024 release during the NobleCon19 business conference. Ark 2, powered by Unreal Engine 5, is the highly anticipated sequel to Ark: Survival Evolved and is expected to launch as an Xbox Series X and S console exclusive with day-one availability on Game Pass, as well as on PC through Steam and Windows. Despite facing skepticism due to previous delays and current performance issues with Ark: Survival Ascended, Snail Games has not wavered in its commitment to the release window. Additionally, the company has plans to release annual DLCs until 2029 and expand the franchise with intentions for free-to-play mobile versions, esports, and branching out into TV and movies, including an upcoming animated series set for 2024.
