Feb 05, 2024 12:08 PM

Konami is gearing up to tug at the heartstrings of Yu-Gi-Oh! fans with their latest announcement: a collection of classic Yu-Gi-Oh! games will soon be available on Nintendo Switch and PC. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of the renowned trading card game, the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection will reunite players with beloved titles, including some that never saw a western release before, such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 4: Battle of Great Duelists. Another title to make a return is Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel, previously known as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters 6: Expert 2. While a complete list of games and launch date is yet to be shared, the announcement has sparked excitement within the Yu-Gi-Oh! community, especially with the promise of a fresh take on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links – this time in VR, bringing an immersive experience to the digital card battles with the Solid Vision Experiment.

When will the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection be released?

As of now, an official release date for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection has not been provided. The collection will be available on Switch and PC via Steam once it launches.

The Yu-Gi-Oh! trading card game, created by Kazuki Takahashi, made its first appearance in 1999 and quickly developed into a global phenomenon. It led to multiple anime series, a vast array of merchandise, and numerous video game titles spanning various platforms over the years. The introduction of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Early Days Collection not only serves as a nostalgic revisit for long-time fans but also introduces new players to the series' roots, solidifying Yu-Gi-Oh!'s place in both gaming and trading card game history.
