James Cameron's sci-fi classics 'Aliens' and 'The Abyss,' and the action-packed 'True Lies,' blast onto 4K UHD, stunning fans with unprecedented visuals

Exciting news for fans of James Cameron’s cinematic works as six of his iconic movies are set to receive 4K UHD releases, with Aliens, The Abyss, and True Lies being available in this format for the very first time. Special collector's editions of Titanic, Avatar, and Avatar: The Way of Water will also be launched.

Cameron expressed enthusiasm about revisiting these films and adding new bonus materials for fans. These 4K transfers will feature Dolby Vision HDR and Atmos audio mixes, enhancing the viewing experience. Most notably, Avatar: The Way of Water will include eight hours of bonus content with new deleted scenes, and Titanic is packed with five hours of both new and legacy extras.

Release dates for these collector's editions are starting on December 5, 2023, for Titanic’s 25th Anniversary edition and continuing throughout December for the other titles. A special edition Blu-ray release will follow on December 19 with certain editions exclusive to retailers like Best Buy. Mark March 12, 2024, for the debut of Aliens, The Abyss, and True Lies Collector’s Editions on 4K UHD Blu-ray.

Pre-orders for these anticipated editions kick off on November 20. Moreover, fans can catch The Abyss: Special Edition movie in a special theatrical event on December 6, with tickets also available from November 20.

These releases offer a fantastic opportunity for movie enthusiasts and collectors to experience these classic films in a whole new light with enhanced visuals and sound, along with a treasure trove of extra content.
