Downar mentioned the positive turnaround in player reception since the game's troubled launch, noting that the team is eager to introduce the game to a new audience on the Switch 2. With over 25 million copies sold of Cyberpunk 2077 and its expansion, Phantom Liberty, achieving three million in its first week, CD Projekt Red is also working on a sequel.
