In a new spoiler-heavy episode of Beyond, Insomniac Games, the developers behind Marvel's Spider-Man 2, have revealed interesting details about the game development process for this record-shattering PlayStation 5 exclusive

Insomniac's senior creative director Bryan Intihar shared that the team had brainstormed a concept with Venomized Sandman as a character but later decided to forego the idea to maintain production scope

The game begins with an impressive scene where both Peter Parker and Miles Morales confront Sandman in a grand battle across New York City

Intihar discloses that while they had the Venomized Sandman idea, they chose not to proceed with it, and it didn't have anything to do with restrictions from Marvel, who hold the rights to Spider-Man

He explains the decision was more driven by the challenge of production timeline and the need to maintain high quality standards for the game

The production of Sandman as a character was already a challenging task, and including a Venomized Sandman concept would increase the degree of difficulty

Intihar also discussed the game extensively in the episode, including explaining reasons for some missing suits

However, he warns the listeners about potential spoilers
