HTC Vive’s $999 Focus Vision Brings Arcade VR Home

HTC Vive has unveiled its latest Extended Reality (XR) headset, the Vive Focus Vision, which retails at $999. This new headset features built-in eye-tracking, enhanced cameras, and superior hand-tracking capabilities. Notably, it supports a DisplayPort mode, allowing gamers to connect it to a PC's graphics card for high-quality VR experiences, although this feature will only be available in late 2024. With dual 16MP color cameras and a combined 5k resolution, the headset promises both standalone and visually lossless PCVR performance. Competing against devices like Meta Quest 3 and Apple Vision Pro, the Vive Focus Vision aims to elevate the XR gaming experience.

The HTC Vive Focus Vision includes built-in eye-tracking, motorized auto-IPD adjustment, dual 16MP cameras for stereoscopic color passthrough, 120-degree field of view (FOV), a 90Hz refresh rate (with support for 120Hz via DisplayPort), and a depth sensor for improved scene recognition.
