Hitman Dev IO Interactive Joins Forces with Ex-GTA Producer

Oct 16, 2024 1:00 PM

IO Interactive has announced a partnership with Build a Rocket Boy to publish MindsEye, an ambitious AAA action-adventure game created by former GTA producer Leslie Benzies. This project serves as a proof of concept for the Everywhere platform, which utilizes Unreal Engine 5 for game creation. Although the game is still in development, IO Interactive's CEO expressed confidence, stating it is "pretty far along." The storyline follows Jacob Diaz, a former soldier with a neural implant who's grappling with memory loss, and features cinematic storytelling, dynamic driving, and intense combat. The collaboration signals a promising intersection between experienced studios and innovative technologies in modern gaming.

What is MindsEye about?

MindsEye is a story-driven action-adventure thriller set in a fictional near future where players control Jacob Diaz, a soldier with a troubled past and mysterious neural implants. The game offers rich storytelling, high-energy driving, and explosive combat, showcasing the capabilities of the Everywhere technology.

MindsEye was first unveiled in February 2023 and is part of a larger vision for the Everywhere platform, which aims to revolutionize game creation. With IO Interactive’s footprint in the gaming world through the Hitman series and a forthcoming James Bond game, their involvement in MindsEye adds significant credibility to this exciting new title. Fans eagerly await more updates, especially with an eye on release timelines and gameplay reveals.
