Head of PlayStation Production, Connie Booth, Left Sony

Oct 27, 2023 3:06 PM

Connie Booth, a crucial figure in the production of PlayStation games for decades, has left Sony. There were rumors circulating in recent weeks about Booth's departure, with former Sony developer David Jaffe claiming the departure was "sad, frustrating, and potentially very disrespectful." Sony has since officially confirmed Booth's exit to Axios, though no reason was given. Jaffe had earlier claimed that Booth was fired.

In her time at Sony, Booth was the senior producer of the first Crash Bandicoot game and has been involved in the production of several dozen PlayStation games since, including franchises like Ratchet and Clank, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Jak and Daxter, Syphon Filter, Death Stranding, and inFamous. In 2020, her substantial contributions to Sony Interactive Entertainment's beloved games over the past 25 years earned her an induction into the Academy of Interactive Arts & Science’s Hall of Fame.
