HBO greenlights DCU's Lanterns series for 8 episodes

The show, which features well-known HBO talent including showrunner Chris Mundy and executive producers Damon Lindelof and Tom King, will follow Green Lantern heroes John Stewart and Hal Jordan as they solve a dark, earth-based mystery in the American heartland. This series will integrate into James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC Universe, with its first chapter, "Gods and Monsters," premiering in summer 2025. The storyline was initially described by Gunn as a "True Detective-type mystery" involving ancient horrors.
