Hades 2: Alle Details zur Indie-Spiel Fortsetzung

Apr 20, 2024 4:48 PM

The upcoming game Hades 2, developed by Supergiant Games, garners continued excitement among gamers as the sequel to one of the most critically acclaimed indie titles. Scheduled for an Early Access release in the second quarter of 2024, the game is currently exclusive to PC platforms, including Steam and the Epic Games Store, with eventual plans for a console release. Supergiant Games has started a Technical Test to iron out any issues before the Early Access debut.

While detailed system requirements for Hades 2 have not been fully disclosed, the developers have shared minimum requirements for the Technical Test, indicating the title is likely to support a wide range of PC configurations and potentially run on the Steam Deck. The narrative follows Melinoë, the Princess of the Underworld, on a quest to defeat Chronos, the Titan of Time, against the backdrop of a war against the Olympians. With a renewed focus on dynamic gameplay, players can explore new environments, interact with fresh characters, and leverage upgrades through the Altar of Ashes.

New gameplay elements such as modified abilities with a mana-like resource, an updated home base known as The Crossroads, and returning elements like Daedalus's Hammer and Charon's Shop enhance the familiar rogue-like experience. A roster of confirmed Olympian gods will provide players with powerful abilities as they progress through the game.

Will Hades 2 be released on consoles?

While Hades 2 will initially be available only on PC, the developers have indicated that the game will make its way to consoles once the full version is ready. However, there haven't been any official announcements regarding which consoles will be supported.

Hades, the prequel to Hades 2, was a critical and commercial success following its 2020 release. Developed by Supergiant Games, who are renowned for creating narrative-centric games like Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre, Hades elevated the rogue-like genre by blending action-packed gameplay with a deeply engaging storyline and rich character development. It received multiple awards, including the Hugo Award for Best Video Game, making the anticipation for Hades 2 quite significant among fans of the first game and the indie game community.
