The latest update for the popular racing game Gran Turismo 7, patch 1.44, brings new content and enhancements for fans to enjoy. An exciting new Café Menu has been added alongside three World Circuit Events: European Clubman Cup 600, Schwarzwald League, and World Touring Car 900. Players can also get their hands on limited-time decals from the Japanese TV anime Highspeed Étoile through the Livery Editor. Moreover, the Scapes feature in the game now includes Fukushima as a new Curation for virtual photographers. This update is available beginning March 27, and it is set to enhance the gameplay experience for both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users.

When was Gran Turismo 7 initially released?

Gran Turismo 7 was initially released in March 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

Gran Turismo 7, developed by Polyphony Digital, is a highly acclaimed entry in the long-standing Gran Turismo racing simulation franchise. Launched with a strong critical reception, the game has been praised for its fidelity to real-world driving physics, extensive car lineup, and its engaging features such as the Café and Scapes. It merges elements of GT Sport's online competitiveness with the more traditional aspects that fans of the original Gran Turismo titles appreciate. While sales numbers have not been specifically disclosed, developer Polyphony Digital's lead Kazunori Yamauchi has indicated that the game has maintained a robust active player base since its release. This speaks to the game's lasting appeal within the racing game community.
