Ghost of Tsushima movie script is complete

The script for the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima is now ready, as confirmed by director Chad Stahelski in a recent interview with Screen Rant. This indicates that the filming phase can soon begin. Stahelski also expressed his admiration for the game's narrative, naming it as one of his all-time favorites. It was revealed last year that the impending movie shall be completely in Japanese. Sucker Punch, the game's developer, is also participating in the film production. No release date has been disclosed yet. There have also been hints by Stahelski regarding potential sequels and a series based on the game.

Ghost of Tsushima originally launched in 2020 for PlayStation 4, and later in 2021 for PlayStation 5. The game, acclaimed for its captivating open world, vivid graphics, and tributes to samurai films, allows players to liberate Japan's Tsushima islands from a Mongol invasion while playing as the samurai Jin. It is likely that Sucker Punch is currently working on a sequel to the game.
