A group of gamers has filed a lawsuit against Aspyr and Saber Interactive over the Switch version of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, released last year. According to the plaintiffs, the game didn't receive the promised downloadable content (DLC) initially announced.

The game, upon its announcement for Nintendo Switch, was promoted with the assurance of new DLC that would be added after the release, containing content previously removed from the original game. However, Aspyr announced the cancellation of the DLC in June. Some fans showed dissatisfaction as they had bought the Switch version primarily for this extra content, touted as completely new and omitted in the original game.

Aspyr offered a free game from a collection of seven titles as compensation for those affected. One of the available games was KotOR2 on Steam, which includes a mod that enables players to access the deleted content. Despite this, many gamers were unhappy with the reparations and have appointed a lawyer who seeks a jury trial on their behalf. The companies implicated have until October 4th to respond to the lawsuit.
