fallout: london nabs green light, lead says don't get hyped

Jul 19, 2024 9:22 AM

Fallout: London, a highly anticipated mod for Fallout 4, is back in the hands of its developers, Team FOLON, after receiving a green light from GOG. However, the project's lead, Dean ‘Prilladog’ Carter, cautions fans not to get overly excited as it's not yet ready for release. Although the mod has cleared key hurdles and isn't delayed anymore due to GOG, the developers still need some time to finalize the details. Thus, players are encouraged to remain patient until an official announcement of its release.

Will Fallout: London work with Epic Games store-bought copies of Fallout 4?

No, at launch, Fallout: London will not be compatible with copies of Fallout 4 purchased from the Epic Games Store according to confirmation from GOG.

Fallout 4, developed by Bethesda Game Studios and released in 2015, is set in a post-apocalyptic Boston and is the fourth major installment in the Fallout series. Modding has been a significant aspect of its community, with thousands of mods available that enhance, change, or add to the game's content. Fallout: London, being one of the most ambitious mods, will provide a new locale set in a post-nuclear London, bringing exciting new narratives and environments to explore, significantly expanding the experience for dedicated Fallout fans.

It's great to see Fallout: London moving forward, even if it's not hitting the finish line just yet. Fans, hang in there – quality takes time, and this promising mod seems like it'll be worth the wait

It’s awesome to see Fallout: London moving ahead with GOG's support, but it's a bit of a bummer for Epic Games users. Patience is key here; it'll be worth the wait to wander through a post-apocalyptic London when it's fully ready
