Kadokawa Corporation, the parent company of FromSoftware, has announced that the development of Shadow of the Erdtree, the expansion for Elden Ring, is progressing steadily. However, there is no release date yet. Shadow of the Erdtree was first announced in February, but no details have been shared since. There have been rumors about a February 5, 2024 release date, but it remains unconfirmed. Fans are hoping for the release date to be announced during The Game Awards in December. Elden Ring was released in February 2022 and has been a major hit on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One. It was FromSoftware's first open-world soulslike game and has already sold more than 20 million copies.
