Elden Ring Co-Op Mod Returns with Shadow of the Erdtree Fix

The highly-acclaimed Elden Ring’s popular Seamless Co-op mod has been updated to work seamlessly with the new Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Mod creator Luke Yui has re-written significant parts of the mod to accommodate the latest changes in the RPG. Players can now enjoy the game and the new DLC in unbroken co-op sessions with up to five others. This update also allows players to join as "evil spirits" for added PvP elements, although bugs may occur as the mod is still in an extended beta phase. FromSoftware's Hidetake Miyazaki hinted that future titles might officially integrate a beginning-to-end total co-op feature.

The Seamless Co-op mod alters the cooperative gameplay by allowing continuous playthroughs with up to five players. Unlike the vanilla game's co-op, which disconnects players upon death or boss defeats, this mod keeps players together throughout the game and DLC. It also removes party movement restrictions, enabling freer exploration and a more approachable gameplay experience.
