EA Sports WRC now out, launch trailer shared online

Nov 03, 2023 5:50 PM

The much-anticipated rally game, EA Sports WRC, is officially available from today, with Codemasters developing the title. The game had been available since last Tuesday for those with reservations, but it is now accessible to players worldwide. In 2020, EA and WRC penned a new licensing deal lasting from 2023 to 2027. Previously, Kylotonn created the latest WRC-games, but this deal has now shifted responsibility to Codemasters, a part of EA.

Running on Unreal Engine, EA Sports WRC promises to provide the "purest form of motorsport”, with each course presenting a challenge against time, terrain, and oneself. The game incorporates seventeen former and current FIA World Rally Championship locations, featuring over two hundred courses. Furthermore, there will be an update after release to incorporate the Central Europe Rally, along with cross-platform online multiplayer for up to 32 players.

EA Sports WRC is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and PC (via the EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store).
