Dungeons & Dragons is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special collaboration between the iconic role-playing game and the UK postal service, Royal Mail. Fans can now pre-order a unique set of 14 stamps featuring artwork by famed D&D artist Wayne Reynolds. The stamps depict various iconic monsters such as the Red Dragon and Mind Flayer, as well as heroes from The Forgotten Realms. Additional merchandise including posters, postcards, and collector’s books is also available. This celebration coincides with the transition to the One D&D rules, starting with the new Player’s Handbook on September 17, 2024, with subsequent releases of the Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Manual set for later dates. Wizards of the Coast has also announced the largest miniature booster set yet to commemorate this milestone.

The One D&D rules will include updates to the core rulebooks and enhancements to the 5th Edition rules, aiming for a more streamlined and inclusive gaming experience. Specific details are being revealed gradually, but the new set will kick off with the Player’s Handbook in September 2024, followed by the Dungeon Master’s Guide and Monster Manual.
