"Dragon Side Story Trailer Focuses on Kazuma Kiryu"

Sega has unveiled a new trailer for "Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name", featuring the main character Kazuma Kiryu. The game, which explores events between Yakuza 6 and Yakuza 7, sheds light on Kiryu's journey, a beloved character from previous Yakuza games. As a spin-off, while familiar franchise elements like city exploration are present, it is designed to immerse players in a distinctive subplot while gearing them up for "Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth."

The game is set to be released on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC platforms this coming Thursday. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and console gamers.

Speaking of 'Infinite Wealth', the eighth installment in the Like a Dragon series, it will be launched on January 26, 2024. Moreover, 'Like a Dragon Gaiden' will include a demo for this upcoming game.

It was recently revealed that 'Like a Dragon Gaiden' was developed in half a year. The team initially planned to share Kiryu's backstory in a 30-minute interlude in 'Like a Dragon 8', but eventually decided to evolve it into a stand-alone game.
