Disney Unveils Release Dates for New Pixar Series Dream Productions

Disney has announced exciting release dates for two new Pixar series coming to Disney+: the Inside Out spinoff Dream Productions and the original series Win or Lose. All episodes of Dream Productions will be available to stream on December 11, 2024, while Win or Lose will premiere its eight episodes starting February 19, 2025. The series marks a creative expansion for Pixar, showcasing stories that resonate with both kids and adults. Dream Productions follows Riley's mind as it creates dreams and features a star-studded voice cast including Paula Pell and Richard Ayoade. Win or Lose sheds light on different characters' perspectives in the lead-up to a crucial game, featuring Will Forte as the coach. Pixar's Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter expressed enthusiasm for these projects, showcasing Pixar's tradition of imaginative storytelling and humor. However, these may be some of the last series aimed at streaming audiences as Pixar pivots back to theatrical releases following recent layoffs.

Dream Productions takes place between the events of Inside Out and Inside Out 2, exploring a studio in Riley’s mind where dreams are created. It features Joy and other Core Emotions helping Riley process her memories, led by a director facing challenges in crafting a new hit dream.
