Diablo 4 Users Make Significant Progress on Cow Level Puzzle

Diablo 4 Players Take a Major Step Toward Solving the Cow Level Mystery

Players of Diablo 4 are nearing the solution to a significant secret in the game, which just launched its second season on October 17. The quest is to find the elusive Cow Level, a renowned urban legend that transformed into a meme before becoming a reality in the Diablo series. The Diablo IV community, due to its diligent effort, is inches away from finding the Cow Level's location.

Progress was made when players discovered how to collect three "Items of Great Significance" which are assumedly relics needed for crafting a key. This key is believed to unlock the Forlorn Hovel, the rumored location where players can open a portal to the bovine realm and access the Cow Level in Diablo 4.

Wowhead.com, a website dedicated solely to Blizzard games, reported the story. As per its investigation, apparently, killing 666 cows is necessary for acquiring one of the essential relics. A member from the Cow Level Secret Finding Discord subsequently clarified that players can only obtain one relic per week. Therefore, anyone trying to locate and eliminate the Cow King would need a few weeks unless they collaborate with other gamers. Furthermore, these items can be traded, once Blizzard overturns the recent ban on trading.

The Cow Level has remained a distinctive feature in the Diablo series ever since rumors about its existence in the original game emerged in the late '90s. It later appeared in Diablo 2 as a secret post-game level and has featured in every iteration of Diablo ever since. Diablo IV's version of this secret level remains concealed with mere references to it in the game's code.

Even as Blizzard repeatedly negates the existence of such a level, Rod Fergusson, the director, hinted at its possible inclusion in future iterations in an interview with IGN back in July. Players have yet to crack open the portal that leads to the Cow Level. However, gaining the items for completing the related questline marks major progress. Blizzard also recently introduced Diablo IV's second season, incorporating vampires among other updates.
