Jul 31, 2024 11:13 AM

Diablo 4's Season of the Infernal Hordes is set to launch on August 6, marking the beginning of Season 5. This new season introduces various features such as a horde mode-style co-op activity named Infernal Hordes, new questlines, a new type of dungeon called Hellbreach Dungeons, and over 50 new Legendary and Unique items.

Highlights of Season 5 include the wave-based Infernal Hordes activity that takes place in Hell’s Realm of Hatred, where players face waves of demons and battle the corrupted Fell Council. The endgame content in World Tier 3 also allows players to collect Burning Aether, which can be exchanged for Spoils of Hell filled with valuable rewards. Plus, Hellbreach Dungeons offer a condensed version of this experience.

The developer update livestream on August 1 is expected to reveal changes based on player feedback from the PTR and provide further insights into the new season.
