Diablo 4's new patch: Companion boost, Vampiric nerf

Jan 31, 2024 10:23 AM

Diablo IV fans are in for a treat as developers make significant gameplay improvements in the new patch 1.3.1, due for release tomorrow. The patch focuses on addressing issues with the Season of the Construct, particularly enhancing the Seneschal Companion's abilities substantially, with increased damage and healing effects across a range of skills, and reducing the Vampiric monsters' health leeching capabilities for a more balanced player experience. Additionally, the patch includes numerous bug fixes and Quality of Life changes, such as visual cues for Vampiric attack indicators, display of monster levels in Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, and various accessibility improvements for better gameplay. The upcoming limited-time event Lunar Awakening is also mentioned, promising more excitement for Diablo IV enthusiasts.

For extra clarity, the patch reduces Vampiric health leeching from 10% to 50% in World Tier 1, and adjustments are made in other tiers too. The Seneschal Companion's skills like Gyrate, Pummel, and Bushwhack, among others, have been buffed by up to 30%. Nightmare Dungeon Sigils will be more informative, and there's a nod at the future quality of life change for identifying Vampiric attacks. A host of other improvements and bug fixes related to Season of the Construct, gameplay mechanics, and the user interface are also implemented to enhance players' gaming experience.

What are the main changes Diablo IV players can expect in the new patch?

Diablo IV players can look forward to a more balanced game with the latest patch 1.3.1. This includes significant buffs to the Seneschal Companion's abilities, reductions in health leeching from Vampiric monsters, and a host of bug fixes and Quality of Life adjustments, like better visual cues for specific attacks and more informative dungeon sigils.

Diablo IV continues the legacy of Blizzard Entertainment's acclaimed action RPG series. Set in the dark, medieval world of Sanctuary, players battle against the forces of Hell in a game that combines hack-and-slash elements with a vast, open-world experience. Building on the depth and complexities of its predecessors, Diablo IV introduces new gameplay mechanics and features, such as an open-world setting, significant customization options, and a non-linear campaign. The game also ramps up the social aspect, offering shared world elements that allow players to encounter one another, trade, and participate in events without needing to join a party or server.
