nnThe Haunting focuses on Soul-Capture, where players can collect Souls from eliminating players, enemies, and monsters across the three game modes. The collected souls can then be turned in for rewards from the event tab. There are several rewards, including daily ones, to unlock, with more available later in the month.
nnMultiplayer sports two new Core and Gunfight Maps - La Casa, Koro Village, King, and Fight. The Haunting-specific multiplayer maps like El Asilo and Embassy offer new game modes, including Haunting Domination, Haunting Kill Confirmed, Grind, Haunting Drop Zone Drop Scares, and Haunted Infected, each bringing a twist to the classic formats.
nnFurthermore, The Haunting also alters Warzone and DMZ by introducing a nighttime map of Al Mazrah filled with eldritch horrors. Adding a Halloween twist, lootable boxes in the map can startle players with a jumpscare. Operation Nightmare lists in-game boss targets that, when eliminated, unlock a new Submachine gun blueprint.
nnThe game will also feature Zombie Royale later this season. Players killed in the match are transformed into zombies with special abilities, while slain zombie players are permanently removed from the match. Special syringes can also help convert players back into humans.
nnAnother limited-time mode, Vondead Lockdown, an objective-based Battle Royale mode set on the night-time Vondel map, is scheduled for later in the season. DMZ will also receive a similar nighttime mode, albeit with more supernatural enemies scattered across Al Mazrah than gas circle closures.
nnAdditional rewards and game modes are expected to unlock around October 24th, thereby providing players with free goodies and fresh experiences.n
