May 27, 2025 3:00 PM

Behaviour Interactive has exciting plans for Dead by Daylight, hinting at potential additions of iconic horror characters like The Thing and Cujo. Jason Guzzo, a Killer Designer, expressed a strong desire to integrate The Thing into the game, citing it as his favorite horror movie. While he acknowledges the challenges of adapting such a complex antagonist, he remains hopeful about making it happen. Meanwhile, Creative Director Dave Richard shared his enthusiasm for other horror legends, particularly mentioning Pennywise and the rabid dog Cujo, which could bring a unique twist to the roster. As Dead by Daylight approaches its ninth anniversary, the game continues to evolve with the upcoming Five Nights at Freddy's chapter and much more on the horizon.

Will Dead by Daylight ever add The Thing as a Killer?

While there are no confirmed plans for adding The Thing, Jason Guzzo has made it clear that he is actively pursuing the possibility and remains hopeful for the future.

Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer survival horror game where players take on the roles of Survivors or Killers. The game has garnered a substantial fanbase since its launch in 2016, featuring a unique blend of original characters and iconic horror figures from films and pop culture. This ever-expanding roster keeps players engaged and allows for creative gameplay dynamics, which is essential as the game approaches its ninth anniversary.
