David Hayter, Snake voice actor, returns for Metal Gear Solid collection promotion

David Hayter, the original voice actor for Solid Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series, has returned for the promotion of the recently released Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Volume 1 by Konami. Hayter provided the voice for Solid Snake until he was replaced by Kiefer Sutherland in Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.

Konami has enlisted Hayter's services again for promotional activities around the new collection. In a video, he teases fans with the statement, "I hope you're ready because this is just the beginning". The meaning behind this statement is unclear, but there is speculation around a potential remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and a second collection that could include later series entries.

Fans have responded positively to Hayter's return, with some even hoping he might lend his voice to a potential reissue of Metal Gear Solid 5 in a hypothetical second collection.
