Borderlands 4 Standard Edition Arrives at $70 Price Tag

Jun 16, 2025 2:21 PM

Borderlands 4 has been officially priced at $70 as preorders have launched. This announcement follows a wave of criticism directed at Gearbox leader Randy Pitchford for his controversial tweet suggesting that dedicated fans would find a way to pay $80. Despite the backlash, 2K Games confirmed the Standard Edition price as $69.99. The game will be available in three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and Super Deluxe, each with unique content and preorder bonuses. The release date is set for September 12, 2025, and those who preorder will receive exclusive items such as skins and a specially designed ECHO-4 Drone Skin.

What are the editions available for Borderlands 4 and what do they include?

Borderlands 4 will be available in three editions: the Standard Edition includes just the base game for $69.99; the Deluxe Edition at $89.99 adds bonus items including a Bounty Pack Bundle with DLC and cosmetics; and the Super Deluxe Edition at $119.99 includes everything from the Deluxe Edition along with additional story packs, map regions, and more exclusive content.

The Borderlands series is well-known for its distinct blend of first-person shooter gameplay and rich role-playing elements. Since its debut in 2009, the franchise has garnered a loyal fan base with its unique art style, quirky humor, and cooperative multiplayer feature, making it a standout title in the gaming landscape. Borderlands 4 aims to continue this legacy by offering even more content and enhanced gameplay features.
