Battlefield 2042 adds unskippable voice chat moderation

Jun 10, 2024 2:11 PM

EA has introduced new voice chat moderation features in Battlefield 2042 to curb toxic behavior and promote positive play within the game. These features allow players to easily report harmful or offensive voice chat, after which EA's support team evaluates the recording and enforces a solution. This system, designed for player protection, cannot be turned off but players have the option to not use voice chat.

How do I report toxic behavior in Battlefield 2042 voice chat?

To report toxic behavior, open the Pause menu, select Squad and Players, choose the player's name, select More, and then choose Report followed by Abusive Voice Chat. You can also block the player using similar steps, which will mute them for you in voice and text chat.

Battlefield 2042, launched in November 2021, faced initial criticism due to its 128-player matches and Specialist system. Over time, the game has gradually improved its reputation. EA plans to wrap up its Season 7 and shift focus to future Battlefield projects, marking a significant transition for the franchise. Notably, multiple EA studios are working on these upcoming projects, ensuring continued support and innovation within the Battlefield universe.
