The upcoming Assassin's Creed game, Nexus VR, is set to launch on November 16, exclusively for Meta Quest headsets.
Ubisoft, the game's developer, made this announcement recently in conjunction with the release of a new game trailer. The new game will provide players with an entirely fresh experience within the Assassin's Creed universe, where they will be able to explore familiar locations, characters, and narratives.
The game will span three different periods in the Assassin's Creed series, with players taking on the roles of three distinct characters, namely Ezio, Kassandra, and Connor, for the first time in the franchise's history. The missions within the game can be executed in various ways.
According to Ubisoft, even players who typically find virtual reality challenging will be able to enjoy the game. Several 'comfort features' have been included, such as the ability to teleport instead of walk and assistance for players with real-life acrophobia.
As it stands, Assassin's Creed Nexus VR has exclusively been announced for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and Meta Quest Pro. There's another game in the series set to release this fall, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which will be launched on October 5 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, and PC.
