Mar 13, 2024 12:38 PM

Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to bring his star power back to holiday films with Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming Christmas comedy, "The Man With the Bag." Schwarzenegger, known for his roles in "Jingle All the Way" and the "Terminator" series, is joining forces with "Reacher" star Alan Ritchson in this festive film directed by Adam Shankman and written by Allan Rice. The movie revolves around Santa enlisting the help of a former thief from his naughty list to retrieve his magic bag and save Christmas. Although an official release date hasn't been confirmed, production is expected to begin later this year.

Is Arnold Schwarzenegger playing Santa in the new Christmas comedy "The Man With the Bag"?nWhile specific roles haven't been officially announced, it is hinted that Schwarzenegger will take on the role of Santa Claus, with Ritchson likely to play Vance, the former thief.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has a rich history in the film industry, especially known for his action-packed roles and legendary performances in movies like "Predator," "Total Recall," and as the iconic T-800 in the "Terminator" series. However, he also showed his comedic chops in films such as "Twins" and "Kindergarten Cop," making "The Man With the Bag" a return to a genre Schwarzenegger has successfully dabbled in before. His last foray into Christmas movies was in the 1996 holiday hit "Jingle All the Way," where he played a father in pursuit of the season's hottest toy for his son.
