Apex Legends Reveals Loot Box Odds in Stunning Detail

Oct 08, 2024 3:05 PM

Respawn has announced that in response to new regulations in South Korea, it will provide more detailed loot box drop rate information for Apex Legends. The developer will now disclose minimum drop rates for items in Apex Packs up to three decimal places, promoting transparency. These changes come as part of an effort to comply with the amended Korean Game Industry Promotion Act, which mandates clearer disclosure of loot box odds. However, it’s important to note that actual drop rates may differ thanks to duplicate protection, which increases chances as players acquire new items. Notably, Heirloom Shards will continue to be a guaranteed drop after opening 500 Apex Packs. Apex Legends is gearing up for Season 23, set to launch on October 29.

What are the changes to loot box odds in Apex Legends?

Respawn is now disclosing minimum drop rates for Apex Pack items up to three decimal places to comply with new South Korean regulations, enhancing transparency in loot box odds. The rates themselves remain unchanged, with actual drop rates potentially being higher due to duplicate protection.

Apex Legends, a popular battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment, has garnered a massive player base since its release in 2019. The game is celebrated for its unique characters, fast-paced gameplay, and evolving seasons that introduce new content regularly. As it gears up for its highly anticipated Season 23, players can expect new characters, gameplay mechanics, and ongoing improvements to the loot system aimed at enhancing player experience.
