This decision aims to combat rampant cheating, as the developers identified Linux as a major vector for various exploits. Apex Legends, launched in 2019, merges elements from the Titanfall universe into a free-to-play battle royale format. Renowned for its exciting characters and dynamic gameplay, Apex has continued to evolve through seasonal updates. Most recently, Season 22, titled "Shockwave," has been running, while EA has confirmed no plans for an Apex Legends 2, focusing instead on the ongoing development and improvements to the existing game. The title remains a popular choice among gamers, but issues with cheating persist, leading to this controversial support withdrawal.
