Diablo 4 Verified for Steam Deck in Time for Season of Blood

As of October 18, 2023, Blizzard’s latest title in the action RPG series, Diablo 4, is now verified on Steam Deck. The verification aligns with the start of its second season, known as the 'Season of Blood'. According to a prior announcement from Community Manager Adam Fletcher via the X platform, players can now enjoy the game on their portable PC systems following multiple fan inquiries about compatibility. Fletcher and the team happily confirmed Diablo 4 as Steam Deck Verified ahead of the game's launch.

Fletcher further clarified that existing Diablo 4 players from Battle.net would need to purchase the game again on Steam due to the platforms being run by two separate entities. Both platforms require a Battle.net account for Diablo 4 play. The newly-released Steam edition supports crossplay and cross-progression, although a technical issue with the Steam release currently suspends cross-play between PCs and consoles.
