Ubisoft has released update 1.0.5 for Assassin's Creed Mirage, focusing on stability improvements and giving players the option to disable chromatic aberration, a graphical enhancement that had faced criticism from the player base. The update, which varies in size from 3.5GB to 5.8GB depending on the platform, was made available on November 7. Prior to the official patch, PC players had created a mod to disable the effect, which is now an in-game feature for console players too.
The update also fixes various bugs and quest-related issues, improves graphical and animation aspects, and enhances the user interface. It introduces better support for the OWO haptic suit as well. Despite these enhancements, some players expressed dissatisfaction due to the lack of a New Game+ mode in Assassin's Creed Mirage, a feature that has been included in past titles of the series.
Ubisoft's patch notes detail numerous fixes and improvements, including visual upgrades, animation corrections, sound effects, and support for additional hardware. Stability enhancements and miscellaneous updates such as corrected time-tracking for PlayStation 5 and synchronization of offline achievements with first-party services are also part of the update.
Assassin's Creed Mirage is an entry in the long-standing franchise that revisits the series' stealth-focused roots. The game takes place in ninth-century Baghdad, and players now have even more control over their visual experience with the toggle for chromatic aberration and other updated features.
