Review

Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow strives to bring the beloved stealth franchise into the realm of virtual reality, and while it delivers some captivating moments of immersion and a rich atmosphere, it struggles with notable technical and design flaws. The game's environments are beautifully crafted, making players feel genuinely entrenched in a world of shadows and intrigue. Unfortunately, the control scheme leaves much to be desired, resulting in clunky movements that can upset the carefully crafted stealth mechanics. Coupled with a somewhat repetitive mission structure, the game fails to maintain the player's engagement over longer sessions. For fans of the franchise looking for a new way to experience stealth gameplay, Thief VR might provide a fleeting thrill, but it ultimately falls short in creating a cohesive and polished gaming experience.

Background information

Early impressions from various reviewers highlight the game’s immersive qualities in VR, but many have raised concerns regarding its control system and lack of mission variety. The game's narrative elements have generally been praised for adding depth to the Thief legacy, yet the technical shortcomings cast a shadow over what could have been a standout entry in the franchise.

It's about time Rayman gets some love again The potential return of this classic platformer brings back so many nostalgic vibes, and with the original creator on board, I can't wait to see how they capture that magic.

It's awesome to see Ubisoft dipping back into the Rayman well after all these years—those vibrant graphics and creative level designs from Rayman Legends really set a high bar Hopefully, they can capture that same magic while also giving us something fresh to get excited about in the platforming scene.

It's awesome to see Ubisoft considering a new Rayman game—this series definitely deserves a revival after the fantastic fun of Legends Hopefully, they can capture that same magic while bringing some fresh ideas to the table; the platforming genre could use some more whimsy
