What happened

Xbox Free Play Days is putting five Ubisoft titles in the spotlight this weekend. According to the source, the promotion runs from October 1 through October 4, 2026, although the exact start time on October 1 is not mentioned. The source ties the promotion to a weekend lineup and explicitly identifies it as an Xbox Free Play Days event.

The lineup consists of Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest. The source describes this selection as a set of open-world games and says there is no split this week between Free For All titles and Game Pass-only games. In other words, the provided information does not distinguish between different access tiers within the promotion.

According to the source, the five games are available to all Xbox users, not just Xbox Game Pass subscribers. That matters because Free Play Days sometimes includes a mix of broadly accessible titles and games tied to a subscription. In this edition, the source emphasizes that no such division applies.

Players who want to keep playing after October 4 can reportedly buy the games at a discount through the Microsoft Store. The source says discounts are available, but does not provide specific prices, discount percentages, or bundle offers. Regional differences in pricing or availability are also not confirmed in the supplied information.

All five listed titles are Ubisoft games and make up the full selection for this Free Play Days period. The source does not mention any additional games, extra demos, or other publishers in the same promotion. That keeps the focus of this edition entirely on the five Ubisoft titles playable between October 1 and 4.

Background

Xbox Free Play Days is a recurring Xbox promotion that lets selected games be played for free for a limited time. In this edition, the source says five Ubisoft games are included, all of which fall into the open-world category. The source frames the promotion as a weekend offer and explicitly notes that the selection consists of five titles.

The games named are Far Cry 6, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Skull and Bones, and The Crew Motorfest. That lineup includes both older and newer Ubisoft releases, but the source does not provide release dates, platform details, or individual game descriptions. It also does not say whether the games are playable via cloud, console, or other Xbox services.

The source also notes that discounts are available for players who want to permanently add one or more of the games to their library. That happens through the Microsoft Store, but the supplied information does not include exact discount amounts, an end date for the offers, or regional breakdowns. So while a discounted purchase option is confirmed, the size of the discount is not.

One detail remains unclear: the exact start time on October 1 is not mentioned. What is clear is that the promotion runs from October 1 to October 4, 2026. The source gives no indication of extra content, expansions, or a separate Free Play Days structure beyond these five Ubisoft games.
