Pokémon GO is hosting a Super Mega Raid Day for Mega Chandelure on Saturday, October 31, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
During the raid window, the chance of encountering Shiny Chandelure is increased.
What happened
According to the source, Pokémon GO is preparing a special raid activity around Chandelure for Halloween. The event is described as a Super Mega Raid Day and puts Mega Chandelure front and center as the raid target. The planned date is Saturday, October 31, with a three-hour raid window from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.
The source also says players will have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Chandelure during Super Mega Raids. That makes the raid day relevant not only for players who want Mega Chandelure, but also for those hunting the Shiny version of Chandelure. The provided information also refers to a way to further build up Mega Chandelure, although the wording around a so-called "Super Max level" is not confirmed as an official in-game term.
The Gamerant article is dated 2026-10-14 and ties the announcement to a Halloween event in Pokémon GO. In the supplied fact report, Scopely Explore is mentioned as the actor, but that name is not further confirmed in the text and may be incorrect or incomplete attribution. The core of the report remains that Mega Chandelure will appear in a limited raid window on October 31.

Background
Chandelure is a Ghost/Fire Pokémon from the main series and is returning in Pokémon GO as the focus of a limited raid event. The new Mega form is directly tied to Halloween in the source, which fits Chandelure’s spooky theme. The raid day is entirely built around this line, with Mega Chandelure as the main attraction and Shiny Chandelure as an additional collection goal.
The source emphasizes a short, fixed three-hour window, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on Saturday, October 31. That makes the timing of the event a key part of the announcement. No additional bonuses are listed in the supplied information beyond the increased Shiny chance and the reference to Mega Chandelure progression.
The fact report leaves open whether "Scopely Explore" is the correct developer attribution. It also remains unclear whether "Super Max level" is an official Pokémon GO term or simply the article’s wording. Beyond the Shiny Chandelure boost and the Mega Chandelure mention, there is no confirmation of extra event bonuses in the provided data.
