The available information links the expansion to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The same reporting mentions Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users as the group that gets access to the Game Boy Advance titles through Nintendo Classics.

What happened

Nintendo Switch Online has added three more Game Boy Advance games to the Nintendo Classics collection. The new titles are Monster Rancher Advance, Metal Slug Advance, and Kururin Paradise. That brings the GBA lineup within Nintendo Classics up by three classic releases, each from a different genre.

Monster Rancher Advance is described in the reporting as an RPG, Metal Slug Advance as an action game, and Kururin Paradise as a puzzle game. So the update is not just about quantity, but also about genre variety within the same retro library. The source explicitly names these three games as the latest additions to the Game Boy Advance selection.

The available information ties the expansion to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. The same reporting mentions Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users as the group that can access the Game Boy Advance titles through Nintendo Classics. The source also says that access is connected to the Expansion Pack subscription.

The report places the addition on October 14, 2026. That is the date attached to the expansion in the provided information. The source does not mention a separate regional rollout, extra system requirements, or any subscription tier other than Expansion Pack for these GBA titles.

Background

Nintendo Switch Online already offers access to older Nintendo platforms through Nintendo Classics, including Game Boy Advance. With this expansion, the number of playable GBA titles in the service grows by three more games. The source specifically says this is an expansion of the Game Boy Advance library, not a new platform layer or a separate retro program.

The provided information does not mention a separate official Nintendo announcement, a regional breakdown, or any extra system requirements beyond the Expansion Pack subscription. The named titles and the subscription tie-in are explicitly stated in the source. The reporting also makes no distinction between different versions of the service beyond Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.

The three added games show that Nintendo Classics continues to support multiple genres on Game Boy Advance. Monster Rancher Advance represents the RPG segment, Metal Slug Advance the action side, and Kururin Paradise the puzzle category. That means the GBA catalog is being expanded with three different kinds of releases in one update.

The source links access to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 users who can play the GBA titles through Nintendo Classics. No additional phased release date is mentioned in the provided information, and there is no list of extra countries or regions. The only concrete date in the source is October 14, 2026, along with the three named titles and the Expansion Pack reference.
