What happened
PlayStation has announced a new PS5 accessory on the official PlayStation Blog: the DualSense Wireless Controller – Gran Turismo Limited Edition. The reveal coincides with the celebration of 30 years of Gran Turismo, the racing franchise that Sony again refers to in the announcement as The Real Driving Simulator. The blog post went live on October 14, 2026, and places the controller alongside other news around Gran Turismo 7.
The controller features a black-and-white design with racing stripes and Gran Turismo-inspired motorsport graphics. The front also has a textured finish meant to evoke carbon fiber. In the available description, the controller is explicitly presented as a limited edition model, but no additional technical changes to the DualSense features are mentioned. The announcement therefore focuses mainly on the look and thematic finish of the model.
For the US market, PlayStation lists a price of $84.99. No prices for other regions are mentioned in the available information, and there is also no confirmed release date or pre-order date. The broader context does point to an official PlayStation Blog post that mentions the controller alongside the Gran Turismo 7 Spec IV update, but the provided information does not confirm worldwide availability, bundle contents, or retailer exclusivity.

Background
Gran Turismo is one of PlayStation's best-known racing franchises, and the announcement explicitly links it to the new DualSense edition. The Limited Edition label and motorsport-inspired design fit that brand identity. The official PlayStation Blog post also uses the reveal as part of a broader update around Gran Turismo 7, so the controller is presented not as a standalone item, but as part of the same anniversary communication.
The available information confirms the product name and the US price, but not a global release, bundle contents, or retailer exclusivity. It also remains unclear whether the controller will be sold separately or as part of a wider Gran Turismo 7 promotion. The external context shows that the blog post was live on October 14, 2026, and that the controller was already announced in the title as a first look at the Gran Turismo Limited Edition DualSense wireless controller. That confirms the timing of the reveal, but not the rest of the sales details.
Because the provided sources do not include additional product information, it is best to stick to the confirmed facts: the model name, the US suggested retail price of $84.99, the anniversary reference to 30 years of Gran Turismo, and the design elements mentioned above. Further claims about availability, pre-orders, or bundles are not supported in the current context.
